The Conventual Franciscans are called also "the friars of the community" because they constitute a family living together in a convent. Being in the community though is not an isolation or an escape from the world, but a fraternal commitment to understand more the person who lives besides me. For this reason the "father" of the community is called "guardian", the one who looks onto his children and carrying on his ministry as servant of the friars. The members collaborate in a fraternal life bearing in mind their mission: to serve God with all their hearts and to be with the people in the world promoting justice and peace.
